Wedding Park Hotel Kiltimagh Co Mayo

I had the good fortune to be working at Nicola and Noel's recent wedding in Ballyglunin Co Galway followed by a reception in the Park Hotel Kiltimagh Co Mayo

It was a joy to arrive to hooting and hollering at Nicola's home in Monivea on the morning of the wedding. I pulled up outside her home and was running off a few shots outside when I heard the mayhem coming from within....and thankfully it was joyous mayhem!

It was great being in Nicola's home the morning of the wedding to witness at first hand the joyous occasion that was about to happen.
I also met up with Ana Conlon of Video Productions and she was a treat to work along side....thanks Ana!

After my time in Nicola's home, I headed of to Brooklodge Church to meet Noel and his army

Young Niall was the first to walk up the aisle....and as I've mentioned before, it can be quite a daunting thing for any child to do. He started off well, didn't think much of it until he briefly looked up and realized he was on his tod! He received some words of encouragement from those at the rear of the church and finally braved the journey on his own....well done Niall!

Noel's last few moments as a single man are spent pensively while Nicola has a chat with everyone that catches her eye on her journey up the aisle!

As we were heading to Kiltimagh via Milltown, we stopped off in Milltown Park and got some photos among the beatiful grounds there. I have to thank bridesmaids Gillian, Trisha and Sharon as well as groomsmen Brendan, Declan and Tommy.....they were in flying form really enjoying their roles on the day!

Wedding Downhill House Hotel Ballina Co Mayo

I bumped into Olivia and Kieran at a wedding I was covering yesterday.....and it dawned on me that I never posted images of their special day....apologies and time to rectify that!

The lights had been turned off when we went back into the church after all guests had shook hands with the newlyweds after the ceremony and made their way to The Downhill House Hotel for the reception.....we still managed to grab some shots of the beautiful bride Olivia.

After our shots in the church, we headed to Lough Talt which is a majestic spot only a couple of miles from the church

The two dads Oliver and John have a chinwag about the days events!

The Downhill House Hotel offers beautiful gardens for Bridal and Family Portraits.

Congratulations Olivia and Kieran, it was good to meet up with you again yesterday!

Wedding Mulranny Park Hotel Co Mayo

Congratulations to Marie and Michael who were married recently in St Patrick's Church Newport followed by a reception in The Mulranny Park Hotel Co Mayo.
I had the pleasure of meeting Marie and Michael a couple of weeks before their wedding day when they called to the studio for a chat. They were both a fun and laid back couple and after our chat, I know we were going to get on quite well.
They were very lucky with the weather for their big day....we had pretty horrific weather leading up to their wedding, but all turned out fantastic for them. I was very fortunate to work with John Murphy of Avalon Video ....it's always a pleasure to work with him...... he's a good friend and neighbor.....and one of the best videographers that you'll come across.
Marie's preparations took place in The Woodland Cottages at the rear of the Mulranny Hotel....beatiful location with lovely foliage and the cottages had fabulous lighting.

After Marie's preparations, I raced off to St Patrick's church in Newport to capture what was happening there....indeed Marie decided to race me there and almost arrived before me!

St Patrick's Church in Newport is a wonderful building, and Brenda Grealis supplied the beautiful church music.

After the ceremony we headed to the strand in front of the Mulranny Park Hotel and spent a short while taking a variety of Bridal Party Images.

It was difficult to leave the beach with the weather being so kind to us, but we headed back to The Mulranny Park Hotel for a fabulous meal and great music from The Conquerors!

Thanks Marie and Micahael for being a great couple to work with!

Wedding Roundstone Co Galway followed by reception in The Castlecourt Westport Co Mayo

I first met Brid at the end of last year when she was searching for her wedding photographer....and out chat lasted a bit longer than expected. Brid's called to my studio and we had a nice chat about her special day and explained that she liked photos...... as long as she's not in them! We had a chat about her day and what it might entail and Brid left the studio with an idea of my work and how I approach weddings and she headed off to have a chat with her fiancee John...although she didn't get too far as her jeep wouldn't start after! We called a friend mechanic of mine who came out for a look and discovered a loose connection with the battery...problem solved.
I was delighted when Brid called me a few days to book my services and I found her very easy to talk to....witty and relaxed! She called by a week later with a gifts to my family for helping her with the car....and even called to the mechanic with a bottle of whiskey to say "thank you"..... a class lady in my opinion!
I was delighted that she also get one of the sunniest and hottest days of the year!

A very relaxed Brid!

We headed off to Roundstone beach after the ceremony and grabbed a handful of shots before heading back to Roundstone to join friends and family for a quick pint....and then off to The Castlecourt Hotel Cifden.

As I've mentioned before regarding the image above....I try and keep things progressing promptly and smoothly on wedding days and try and keep fuss to an absolute minimum. We didn't spend too long taking image on Roundstone beach and conscious of the beautiful scenery that we were surrounded by on our way to Westport (Inagh Valley in particular), I literally stopped all the wedding traffic (and tourists) that were traveling behind us in order to get this shot....my apologies to all concerned!

Killary harbor behind us....next stop USA!

I really enjoy covering weddings in The Castlecourt Hotel.....Vinny and his staff are always in top form and provide a wedding service that's very difficult to match.

The night was topped off with lively music from the brilliant Raindance who kept the dance floor full all night!

Thanks Brid and John for letting me play a part in your wedding day....you were a great couple and I thoroughly enjoyed your company!
